This plan sends two eSIMs: the main KDDI unlimited card, and a SoftBank backup with 1GB per day. Install both before you fly (adding an eSIM needs an internet connection), but only turn on the main one. If the main card has no signal, enable the backup and disable the main card in your mobile data settings. Don't delete either card — each QR code installs only once, and a deleted profile cannot be reinstalled. The backup is included free of charge; problems with the backup itself are not grounds for a refund.
