Vietnam Viettel 5GB per day

5GB a day, resets at local midnight

Runs on Viettel, Vietnam's own network, with 5GB per day. Days are counted in Vietnam time (GMT+7) and roll over at midnight. This card does not support personal hotspot.

What is included

  • Viettel network
  • 5GB per day, resets at midnight Vietnam time
  • 1 to 30 days — pick the length of your trip
  • Personal hotspot not supported

How the days are counted: in Vietnam time (GMT+7), a new day starts at midnight — not 24 hours after you switch the card on. Activate at 11pm and you are on day 2 an hour later, so it is better to start it during your first day there. This card does not support personal hotspot, so you cannot share the connection with a laptop or with people travelling with you. Pick a different plan if you need to share. Install the eSIM before you fly (adding an eSIM needs an internet connection) and turn it on once you land. Each QR code installs only once — don't delete the profile, a deleted one cannot be reinstalled.

How it works

  1. 1

Your QR code is emailed to you after payment

  2. 2

Open Settings → Mobile Data → Add eSIM and scan the code

  3. 3

When you land, turn on mobile data for the eSIM and it connects to the local network
